Standing Proudly in Solidarity

TO OUR WEITZMAN COMMUNITY

October 7, 2023

The staff and leadership of The Weitzman stand proudly in solidarity with Israel following the launch of more than 7,000 rockets into Israel from Gaza by the terrorist group Hamas today. This incursion along with ground assaults and kidnappings of Israeli soldiers and citizens killed more than 100 and injured hundreds more.

On this 50th anniversary of the Yom Kippur war, Jews in Israel have been attacked observing Shabbat and celebrating the joyous holiday of Simchat Torah.

An attack on Jews for being Jews is an attack on us all.

We are monitoring this news closely. To learn more and follow the developing story, visit Jewish Telegraph Agency. Please, answer the calls for assistance as they are issued by support organizations such as JFNA, your local Jewish Federation (e.g., Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia), the Jewish Agency for Israel, and others.

Our thoughts and prayers are with our extended family in Israel.
