Now in its 44th year, the IAJGS International Conference on Jewish Genealogy is the flagship educational and networking gathering for Jewish genealogy world-wide. Hundreds of Jewish genealogists will meet this year in Philadelphia to study, share, and celebrate Jewish family history. This year’s meeting is co-hosted by the International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies and the Jewish Genealogical and Archival Society of Greater Philadelphia (JGASGP).

Announcing Keynote Speaker Joan Nathan

• The Weitzman is sponsoring the opening keynote address of the conference on Sunday evening, August 18th. IAJGS are honored to welcome acclaimed author and Jewish cuisine expert Joan Nathan as this year’s keynote speaker. Ms. Nathan’s work has profoundly influenced the appreciation and understanding of Jewish culinary traditions and history, making her a perfect fit for the conference theme of exploring Jewish heritage. She is renowned for her extensive research and engaging storytelling that brings Jewish recipes and traditions to life.  Her keynote address promises to be an enlightening and inspiring experience for all attendees.

Attend a Docent Tour at The Weitzman

In addition to sponsoring the opening keynote address, representatives from The Weitzman will be available at the Sunday SHARE Fair from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on August 18th to provide additional information about the Museum.  They will also provide eight docent tours of the Museum for conference attendees.  Each tour can accommodate up to 15 participants.  Attendees must sign up in advance as space is limited.
