Make this Independence Day one to remember by joining us at the Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History, where history comes to life. Located on Philadelphia’s historic Independence Mall, there is no better place for history enthusiasts and families to celebrate. On our nation’s birthday, enjoy a day of activities to promote a deeper understanding of our nation’s culture and values.
Schedule of Fun
10:15am Sing and Dance along with Lolly Hopwood *Littles (0-5 years) – Concourse Level
11am Philly’s official 4th of July parade returns to Old City, beginning at South Second & Market Street and ending at City Hall. Take advantage of our view from the 5th-floor balcony!
11:15am Design your crown and wear it proudly during a read-aloud & dynamic performance by Khalil Munir *Kids (3-12 years) – Concourse Level
12pm to 2pm Meet historical interpreter Eva Baen, whose storytelling will transport you back to the 1900s. *All ages – 3rd Floor
10am to 4pm An exciting all-day scavenger hunt awaits older kids aged 8 to 12, ensuring an entertaining and educational experience for the whole family.
In addition to our galleries, the museum store will be open, offering a range of unique Judaica, jewelry, books, souvenirs, and more!
