Join us for a community screening of powerful documentary at the Museum of the American Revolution in Philadelphia. Free Exercise: America’s Story of Religious Liberty delves into the rich and complex history of religious freedom in the United States, tracing its roots from the Founding Fathers to present-day discussions.
After the film, take part in a panel discussion moderated by William Ewald, professor at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School. The panel will feature the film’s host, historian Richard Brookhiser and Weitzman Museum Senior Advisor for Content and Special Projects, Dr Josh Perelman, alongside respected local religious leaders, Rev. Philip Bochanski and Rev. Carolyn Clarene Cavaness. Together, they will explore the legacy and continuing significance of religious freedom in today’s world.
This event offers a unique opportunity to engage with one of the nation’s foundational values—religious liberty—and reflect on its relevance in modern society.
