Philadelphia Premiere
Fiddler on the Roof
, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2021, remains one of the most celebrated movie musicals of all time. With its melodious songs, iconic imagery, and Sholem Aleichem’s unforgettable tale of Tevye and his family, the film is most recognized in the canon of Jewish international cinema. Narrated by Jeff Goldblum, Fiddler’s Journey to the Big Screen takes viewers back to the arduous journey director Norman Jewison – who, funnily enough, is not Jewish, despite his surname – partook to bring the stage musical to the big screen. Featuring insightful and often hilarious present-day interviews with Jewison himself, Fiddler’s Journey is a toe-tapping, delightful “journey” you won’t soon forget!
