Immerse yourself in a FREE multicultural family celebration at The Weitzman on May 3rd in partnership with American Jewish Committee (AJC) and Pennsylvania Asian Pacific American Jewish Alliance (PAPAJA)!

Musical and dance performances, hands‑on crafts, workshops, and guided tours weave together a joyful day for visitors of all ages. Bring your family and friends to spend May 3 at The Weitzman Museum. Share moments of discovery, connection, and creativity—honoring Jewish American and Asian Pacific American Heritage Month through culture and community.

1:00 – 5:00 PM: Diverse Asian Pacific and Jewish cultural folk activities, including

• community artists
• crafting games
• printmaking
• martial arts
• Asian face and hand painting
• Jewish dancing
• ancient musical instruments
• traditional drum mini-workshops
• Asian traditional dress try-on experience, and more!

DIRECTIONS

The Museum is located in the heart of Philadelphia’s Historic District, on Independence Mall at the corner of 5th and Market Streets (entrance on Market Street). Enter the Museum’s address into your GPS: 101 South Independence Mall East, Philadelphia, PA 19106.

SEPTA

Via the Market-Frankford line, eastbound and westbound trains stop at 5th and Market, below the Museum. Visit SEPTA’S website for more details and a trip planner, or use your preferred map app.

PARKING

There are numerous lots and garages, as well as metered street parking, in the immediate vicinity. We suggest the Bourse Garage, one block from the Museum at 400 Ranstead Street. The garage is open 24 hours daily.
