Make this Independence Day one to remember by joining us at the Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History, where history comes to life. Located on Philadelphia’s historic Independence Mall, there is no better place for history enthusiasts and families to celebrate. On our nation’s birthday, enjoy a day of activities to promote a deeper understanding of our nation’s culture and values.
Schedule of Fun
Philly’s official 4th of July parade kicks off in Old City at 11 AM, beginning at South Second & Market Street and ending at City Hall. Whether you prefer the indoors or the fresh air outside, we’ve got you covered with a fantastic viewing party.
11 – 3 PM Lemonanna Stand selling refreshing mint lemonades by Lilah Events.
12 PM Design your crown and wear it proudly during a read-aloud & dynamic performance by Khalil Munir.
1 PM Sing and Dance along with Two of a Kind, an interactive musical performance for kids of all ages!
2 -3:30 PM Adoughma (Ah-DOUGH-mah) dough play; sensory-friendly play dough fun (all ages) with Erin Beser.
12 – 4 PM An exciting self-paced scavenger hunt awaits kids of all ages, ensuring an entertaining and educational experience for the whole family.
12 – 4 PM Make-and-Take 4th of July crafts, a perfect opportunity to enjoy the festivities and cool off indoors.
In addition to our galleries, the museum store will be open, offering a range of unique Judaica, jewelry, books, souvenirs, and more!
