VALENTINE’S DAY: CELEBRITY MATCHMAKER COMES TO PHILLY
January 27, 2025
Book Release Event for Netflix Star Features On-Site Matchmaking at After Party
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (January 27, 2025) – The star of the Netflix show Jewish Matchmaking is coming to Philly for a book release and matchmaking event at the Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History (The Weitzman) on the day before Valentine’s Day, Thursday, February 13.
Philadelphia native Aleeza Ben Shalom is a globetrotting and highly respected matchmaker. Her new book, Matchmaker Matchmaker, was just released. With her signature humor, warmth, and practical advice, she’ll share insights from this paradigm-shifting guide to dating with purpose and building lasting love at a one-night-only event. She’ll be on-stage in conversation with Rabbanit Dasi Fruchter, founder and spiritual leader of the South Philadelphia Shtiebel.
Ben Shalom has coached hundreds of singles and trained 350+ dating coaches and matchmakers globally. In her book, she offers tried-and-true methodologies, such as “date ’em ’til you hate ’em” and “no touching for the first five dates,” and pairs them with real-world examples and heartfelt client stories. More than a roadmap to finding “The One,” it’s a guide to self-discovery and creating strong, meaningful relationships.
Ben Shalom will sign books at the conclusion of the on-stage conversation.
After the event, Tribe 12, an organization that connects young Philadelphians to Jewish life and community, invites attendees in their 20s and 30s to an on-site afterparty, hosted by Tribe 12 and Lox Club, featuring live music, cocktails, and a personalized matchmaking experience.
