“After the success of last year’s Hanukkah market, we’re excited to make this one bigger – and with more food to enjoy and more vendors to shop!,” said Kristen Kreider, the Weitzman’s Managing Director of Business Operations, and curator of the store. “I’m especially excited to offer this special event on Museum Store Sunday! We’re also so happy to have our new exclusive catering partner, Lilah Events, take a starring role in this Nosh & Shop event.”
Mike Solomonov and Steve Cook’s Lilah at the Weitzman (part of the CookNSolo family), will be on-site with specialty sufganiyot (Hanukkah doughnuts) and borekas, known from their popular Rittenhouse café, K’Far. Prior to the event, Lilah at the Weitzman and K’Far will hold a contest on social media for choosing a unique sufganiyot flavor exclusively for Nosh & Shop. Lilah will also offer a coffee station and bar, with a themed cocktail.
December 1 also marks the opening date of The Weitzman’s exciting new Humans of Judaism photo installation, featuring images from Nikki Schreiber’s popular Instagram account (393K followers) and new book of the same name. Schreiber will sign her book at the Hanukkah Market around 2:30 p.m.
There is no cost to attend. All Museum Store proceeds benefit the Museum’s mission to teach the powerful and true stories of Jewish life in America as an antidote to antisemitism.
