Step into Shine A Light—an event crafted for families, promoting togetherness and unity. In collaboration with jkid4all and Eteaches365, enjoy an afternoon filled with crafts, music, kid-friendly museum tours, and immersive activities fostering belonging and support in our community. Discover your creative side with self-portrait drawing, craft unique candle holders, and engage in ‘I Wish to Say’ by Sheryl Oring—an opportunity to share thoughts on postcards forwarded to the President. Across three Museum floors, this event aims to create an inviting atmosphere for families to unite.

Musical sensations Two of a Kind, featuring Rodney Whittenberg and drummer Karen Smith along with three other talented percussionists, will captivate with performances and interactive drumming sessions. Rodney Whittenberg, an Emmy-award winning composer, brings his expertise in after-school and intergenerational programs, while Karen Smith, a recent Pew awardee, delights in collaborative projects across various artistic domains.

Younger participants will delve into diverse Jewish stories through engaging storytime sessions, emphasizing acceptance, freedom, and advocacy through the lens of music and art. It’s a space to explore the power of communication and storytelling in teaching children these essential values.

At the heart of this event is the idea that we, as a community, shine brighter together. We’ll walk the collective path, proving that preserving our freedoms and combating hate are endeavors best pursued with our neighbors and allies by our side.

Register today!  Please register everyone, including children and adults, who plan to attend.
