Released hostage, Eliya Cohen, who was held in Hamas captivity for more than 18 months, and his girlfriend and Nova Music Fesitval survivor, Ziv Abud, will share their unimaginable stories of survival and resilience in this just-added special event at The Weitzman.
On October 7th, the couple fled the Nova Music Festival and ran to a roadside bomb shelter, now referred to as the “bunker of death” after terrorists attacked it by hurling grenades inside. They were soon separated–Eliya taken hostage, and Ziv buried under the bodies of other victims. They were reunited earlier this year, in February 2025. We are honored they will share their stories with us in person.
The event is free to attend. Donations can be made using this link (please put Eliya Cohen in the subject line). 100% of the donations go to Eliya and Zev.
Security will be present.
Presented by The Weitzman in partnership, the Philadelphia Hostage Family Forum, and I Believe Israeli Women, A joint initiative of the JWI and Seed the Dream Foundation.
