Zoe, a British teen avoiding her mother’s funeral, and Ruth, an Israeli woman avoiding her own wedding, randomly meet on the faraway streets of Amsterdam. The two lost souls form an unlikely connection as they keep each other company during a drug-induced haze of a day, wandering through the city and escaping their troubles together. Hallucinogenic mushrooms are consumed, secrets are shared, imaginary flying tandem bicycles are ridden, and profound epiphanies are had over the course of this one eventful, otherworldly day.

Director’s Bio
Veronica Kedar is an award winning writer, director and producer. Her debut feature Joe + Belle was nominated for best picture at the 2012 Israeli Academy Awards and was one of the first lesbian themed films ever made in Israel.
Veronica’s sophomore film Endtime premiered at Sitges in 2014. The film was an improvised end-of-the-world drama shot in one night. It was theatrically released in Israel and received raving reviews. A decade later, it is still taught in film schools as a key example for independent filmmaking.
Veronica’s third film Family premiered at the 2017 Warsaw film festival. The intense psychological thriller screened in Talinn Black Nights and Raindance, there it was nominated for best director, best screenplay and best film. Family won best feature at the Brooklyn Horror film festival and was nominated for three Israeli Academy Awards.
Day Trippers is Veronica’s fourth feature film and her first picture in English. The film stars Bafta Breakthrough Nell Barlow and Israeli comic Naama Amit.
