PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (November 5, 2020) – The National Museum of American Jewish History will open its popular Museum Store for in-person holiday shopping from Black Friday, November 27, through the first day of Hanukkah, December 11, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

The Independence Mall-based Museum’s Store is popularly known for its unique gifts, Judaica, jewelry, and pop-culture favorites that appeal to Jewish audiences and shoppers of all backgrounds. For Hanukkah, the Store features menorahs sourced from across the United States and Israel, from rustic and traditional menorahs to contemporary and kid-friendly designs, as well as pop-culture-themed pieces such as a Star WarsⓇ-themed menorah with an image of Han Solo that reads, “Keep the ‘Han’ in Hanukkah.” Other curated Hanukkah selections include candles, dreidels, and gelt.

The NMAJH Museum Store sells a variety of books, baby and children’s gifts, face masks with pop culture themes, Yiddish phrases, ever-popular Ruth Bader Ginsburg themed merchandise, and more.

Mezuzahs–the prayer box placed in doorframes of some Jewish homes–are among the Store’s bestselling Judaica items. Its top-selling jewelry includes jewelry made from piano wire and a full jewelry line from Brooklyn-based designer Freida Rothman.

Yo Semite t-shirts, which the Store has carried since 2011, flew off the shelves this summer after the President’s mispronunciation of Yosemite National Park, but are well-stocked in time for the holiday season.

The Store’s staff can gift wrap items, include handwritten notes, and ship to addresses throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Fans of NMAJH are particularly encouraged to shop on Sunday, November 29 which is Museum Store Sunday, a national day of support for museum gift shops. NMAJH will offer 20% off all in-store purchases on that day only.
